val.jpgValeria Maltoni is a prolific communicator. She writes for Fast Company, The Blog Herald, Marketing Profs and her own blog, Conversation Agent, which sits in the top 50 of the Power 150. She is a frequent public speaker on brand marketing, customer service, and integrating social media tools. Being Italian and having studied linguistics in Italy, it’s no surprise that she publishes in both English and Italian. She has worked on the agency, consulting and corporate sides of communications. Here’s your chance to learn more about Valeria….

How would you describe your blog to your mom?
Conversation Agent is about facilitating interaction with ideas and people. I’ve always been a connector and I’ve had a lifelong love for learning. The blog allows me to do both.

What blog post do you most regret publishing and why?
There isn’t one post I regretted publishing. Event the infamous post that unleashed such a controversial debate all over the blogosphere, the one suggesting we create a W-List, taught me a great deal about myself and about conversation. I’m glad I wrote it.

What two blogs do you read most often?
It changes depending on what I am learning and experimenting with at the time. I read Seth’s blog and Copyblogger (Brian’s posts) everyday. They write timeless posts that apply to everything I do with my blog and at work. Then there are another 40+ I read diligently.

What non-blog websites and publications do you read?
Magazines: Fast Company, Foreign Policy, The Economist, Business Week, Wired, Information Week, Computerworld, CIO, Marketing Management (AMA), Tactics (PRSA), The Strategist (PRSA), CW (IABC), Directors & Boards, The Atlantic, B2B, Elle (Italian edition).

Newspapers: The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Business Journal, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, La Repubblica, La Stampa, Il Corriere della Sera, Le Monde.

Web sites: BBC news, Knowledge@Wharton, Harvard Business Review.
