The Ad Age Power 150 Launches

August 5, 2007

It’s here. Ad Age has officially launched its version of the Power 150 complete with a blog search function, OPML file and link back to my Power Profiles, a Q&A with ranked bloggers. Soon, all Power 150 URLs will point to www.adage.com/power150. In case you missed it, please read the original Ad Age + Power 150 announcement from two weeks ago. And if you haven’t already, I strongly encourage you to download the Firefox OPML reader add-on. By the way, if you currently link to toddand.com/power150, now is a good time to change it to adage.com/power150.

    Hi Todd

As far as I can tell, they haven’t actually announced the site on Adage yet though it is up and running and looking great.

I notice you already have a 301 redirect in place to the new pages.

    In Print…

Just wanted to point to some mentions of me and my activites. This is completely self-serving, but hey, what can you do? Hopefully you’ll find it moderately interesting. First off is an article I wrote for Media Magazine titled “Power to (a Few) Peop…

Hi Todd - This is great! We were so pleased to make it in the top 200 in just a year’s time. I feel our baby blog is gaining “cred” and that makes us feel great! Thanks so much for putting this together and we are so pleased AdAge recognizes the value you created.

Todd - congrats again. I’m seeing traffic from Ad Age on Diva Marketing. Will Ad Age also maintain the other lists that you ran with the Power 150? Those were a great service as well.

[...] Well it used to be Todd's, but as I wrote about recently, it now has a new home as the Adage Power150 and has also been officially announced today on Adage. [...]

Thanks, Heather. Toby, as for the “other lists,” there are none. There is only one Power 150 list and that’s the one at http://www.adage.com/power150.

    Todd:
Congrats getting this all accomplished in such a short span of time! I’m sure you put some significant time in with the switch. I’m going to change the links on my blog. Thanks for the heads up.

What about the little icons? Any suggestions?
    Chris

[...] The Power 150 is a ranking of the world’s top English-language media and marketing blogs. The positions in the list are calculated using Google’s Page Rank, subscriber data from Bloglines, Technorati back-link info and a subjective total from Todd Andrlik (who created the original Power 150).
