Cunning Use of Blogs

One of my favorite comedians is Eddie Izzard. His “Dress To Kill” set is hilarious (and available on DVD)!
“Cake or death?”
“They say guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Well, I think the gun helps. If you just stood there and yelled BANG, I don’t think you’d kill too many people.”
“That’s how you build an empire. We stole countries with the cunning use of flags. Sail halfway around the world, stick a flag in. ‘I claim India for Britain.’ And they’re going, ‘You can’t claim us. We live here! There’s 500 million of us.’ Do you have a flag? ‘We don’t need a bloody flag, this is our country.’ No flag, no country. You can’t have one. That’s the rules that I’ve just made up. And I’m backing it up with this gun.”
After six weeks of posting at a pretty aggressive pace, I’m going to – as Eddie Izzard famously joked – scale it back a bit. My grad school classes start next week. Exciting times are ahead at the office. I have friends and family to spend time with. My neighborhood softball team is hoping to win one game this season. I have an awesome Halloween costume party to plan. I have TV to watch and books to read. Stuff like that.
Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Stay tuned though. I have plenty of posts to go.
